Globe Valve is a Valve designed to control flow, in addition it is used to stop or regulate fluid flow but usually used to regulate flow. Changes in the direction of fluid flow through the Valve cause turbulence or volatility and pressure to fall.
This valve is often installed with plug and sleeve to produce a flow rate up to a certain level when the valve is opened.
