Specification of Elbow Carbon Steel 5D API 5L Grade B
Elbow Carbon Steel / ELBOW 5D API 5L Grade B Carbon steel is steel that contains no more than 2.14% carbon elements. Carbon steel is generally divided into several categories, namely low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, and high carbon steel. - High Carbon Steel (High Carbon Steel) Its carbon content is about 0.8-2%. Its micro nature is martensite because it is heated by austenitizing, quenching, and tempering methods. This steel is the hardest, most wear-resistant, and the strongest. -Low Carbon Steel (Low Carbon Steel) Low carbon steel consists of iron as the main element, while the carbon element is less than 0.3%. Steel containing less than 15% carbon is categorized as low carbon steel. This steel has several characteristics, for example using the "cold working" reinforcement method, ferrite and pearlite microstructure, softer but tougher, and able to be welded well. - Medium Carbon Steel (Medium Carbon Steel) The carbon content of this material is about 0.3-0.8%. This steel has hot mechanical properties. Its microstructure is tougher than low carbon steel because it has gone through a tempering process. In addition, medium carbon steel gets a heating process through quenching and austenitizing.
